Meet the Governors
The Interim Executive Board (IEB) was established 2nd May 2017 in response to the findings of the December 2016 Ofsted Inspection. The IEB replaces the previous Governing Body. All members of the IEB were approved by Birmingham City Council and their term of office is set until such time as the school is out of special measures.
The main aim of the IEB is to ‘secure a sound basis for future improvement in the school and this should include the promotion of high standards of educational achievement.’ This will be achieved by creating a happy, secure and stimulating learning environment in which all members of the school community can grow in confidence and develop their full potential.
The IEB have continually monitored all financial aspects of the school ensuring policies and procedures are followed that will guarantee effective budgetary spend and forward planning. Future Financial Audits should indicate that financial protocols, are being adhered to.
IEB identified safeguarding and health and safety issues that have now been addressed ensuring all pupils, staff and visitors to the school remain safe. IEB continually monitor that relevant policies and procedures are in place and followed.
The IEB, together with the Headteacher, are responsible for creating an effective and efficient staffing structure. We expect all pupils to receive a broad and balanced education on many levels, ensuring they become independent and resilient individuals. This will then set them on the correct path in readiness for the next phase of their education.
